Another Great Capitol Tunes is in the Books! Thank you Duncanville Middle School Concert Band!

On Thursday, February 12th, the Duncanville Middle School Concert Band, led by Band Director Brooke Mason, performed a selection of chorales, including Elemental and Me by Randall Standridge, arrangements of Hallelujah and Amazing Grace by Leonard Cohen, and a collection of Disney Favorites. The Band would like to thank their school administration and the Tuscaloosa County Board of Education for their support!

Dr. Eric Mackey, our State Superintendent and the Alabama State Department of Education Board of Directors were able to come to the Rotunda at the Gordon Persons Building to hear them perform.

The Alabama Institute for Education in the Arts, along with the Alabama State Department of Education and the Alabama Music Educators Association was proud to sponsor our annual Capitol Tunes series, where talented students from across the state perform for the State Legislature in Montgomery, AL!
