Soon, it will have been a year since we lost our previous Executive Director and dear friend, Randy Foster. His life and his passion for the arts was an inspiration to us all, and served as a light in a dark world moving forward past the pandemic. As AIEA continues onward, may our work and our mission reflect the love he had in his heart for his work, his family, and his friends. We miss you, Randy. Thank you for everything.
Today, October 29th, would have been our previous director’s birthday. He was a beloved friend, an amazing musician, and a hard-working advocate for the arts across the state of Alabama. He was a man of integrity, and we will never forget all the effort and all of the kindness he gave to not just us here at AIEA, but for school systems and all people invested in the arts across the state. Happy Birthday, Randy. We will miss you dearly, as a teacher, as a friend, and as a guiding and helping hand for creativity and imagination, across Alabama.
